About Dr. Behnoosh Rahavard
Behnoosh Rahavard, MD, is a highly trained interventional pain management physician, double board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. She is the founder of Valley Regenerative & Pain Clinic, which serves patients in Encino, California, the San Fernando Valley, and the Greater Los Angeles Area. She also practices interventional pain management in Agoura Hills, California, which serves patients in the Ventura County and Los Angeles County areas.
Dr. Rahavard joined the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology right after obtaining her medical degree as a Post-doc Research Fellow. She completed her Anesthesiology Residency at Advocate Health of the University of Illinois. Dr. Rahavard completed a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Henry Ford Health of Wayne State University in Michigan. She specializes in diagnosing and treating various pain-causing disorders, with a significant focus on spine-mediated pain such as neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. She treats conditions like herniated/bulging discs, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, arthritis of the spine, and failed back surgery syndrome, among others.
Throughout her education and career, Dr. Rahavard has been the first author and co-author of the book chapters and articles which have been published in medical scientific books, newspapers, and medical journals including Pain Practice Journal, Circulation Journal, Practical Chronic Pain Management, and Pain Medicine News. She has also been presented as a speaker in multiple conferences more than thirty times, including the American Society of Regional and Pain Medicine (ASRA), North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM), and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
Dr. Rahavard's primary focus is on interventional pain management and pain therapy through interventional pain procedures including but not limited to epidural and facet joint injections, percutaneous laser discectomy, radiofrequency ablation procedures, neuromodulation therapies including peripheral nerve and spinal cord stimulators, joints and muscles injections, CRPS treatments, and Botox injections for chronic migraine headaches and dystonia.
Dr. Rahavard's primary goal is to accurately diagnose and effectively treat her patients' pain, resulting in improved quality of life and reduced pain levels. She finds it very fulfilling to help patients who are limited by their pain and to see their quality of life improve significantly after treatment. Dr. Rahavard has a passion for delivering healthcare to her patients through compassion and empathy.
